What was your first job ever?
My first job was as a cashier for Pathmark Supermarkets in Spring Valley New York. I wish there was more to say about it, but being a cashier in a supermarket doesn't really need much.
Talk about how you felt after high school versus today on the question "what do you want to be when you grow up?"
It's funny, but now that I'm 46, I don't even reference that time. It's numb, null, void. I'm old enough that I could have asked myself that question when I was 30, 40, or even last year.
As an artist there are these great moments of validation, security, and confidence, and then there is this return to a launching off point. I think even traditional careers go through that, where you go through a particular job, and then it's time for a move, lateral or otherwise.
