What was your first job ever?

My first job ever was as a landscaper at the age of eleven or twelve. I put flyers in mailboxes around my neighborhood to cut lawns and it sprouted (hahaha) into a business, “Not Just Lawns Any Mower”. Pretty quickly, I was taking care of 20+ lawns in my town as well as friends’ parents yard work and handiwork. It intensified once my father became a realtor and was writing me into contracts of houses he sold as well. So by the time I was 15, I was working every weekend in spring and everyday all summer doing landscaping/painting/minor construction and making about $200 a day for about 3-4 sites per day.

Talk about how you felt after high school versus today on the question "what do you want to be when you grow up?"

When I graduated high school I had wanted to be a marine biologist but once I looked at the curriculums and saw all the work I would be doing outside of my field of study, I felt it would be too much. So, instead of pursuing this further I sort of arbitrarily picked Broadcast Radio to be my field of study, as I had started to be a DJ/Turntablist around age 17.

As of now, I am actually quite unsure what I want to be when I grow up; my vision of the future is not necessarily based on a job or vocation per se, but just allowing myself to create...
