Talk about how you felt after high school versus today on the question "what do you want to be when you grow up?"
Since ten I had wanted to become a filmmaker and musician so I always had a pretty clear direction of the field I wanted to work in. At graduation I knew I was going to NYU for Film Production and was pretty serene. I remember a very anti-climactic graduation. Many people cried and celebrated but it felt natural. I was ready to leave high school and start my year off. I was eager.
What do you do today to make a living?
Right now, I'm still finishing up a degree for film production at NYU. I do sound mixing and film scoring for friends and clients when I can, to make a little extra.
Describe the worst moment of failure in your creative/ entrepreneurial career.
I had worked months promoting a show I was doing sound and music for. It was a rainy Sunday in Brooklyn, and I had put together a bill of acts who proved they could bring people. Through a music connection, I had even secured support from a Grammy Nominated producer of Groove Collective. We had many people planning to attend and I had promised the hall a certain draw.
