What was your first job ever?
My first job was when I was about 10 years old. I was hired to play piano at a church other than the one that I regularly attended (a different denomination).
"They're gonna pay me to go to church and play the piano?? SURE!!"
Talk about how you felt after high school versus today on the question "what do you want to be when you grow up?"
It has to do with your perception of your trajectory. Some of us are more introspective, or retrospective... but it’s only when you get to the end of the path that you can go back and judge whether you stayed on it.
It depends on what you want to filter your self-image through. You can be facing the moon thinking that is your goal, when in actuality you’re flying toward the sun–or maybe the other way around. You may end up doing something completely different than expected, look back and say, “Oh I’ve been doing this all along and didn’t know it.”
